What’s Inside
In this issue, you’ll find coverage of a major bipartisan success in the US Senate with the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA). As we were finalizing this issue, the Senate held the long-awaited vote, passing the measure by a historic vote of 91-3. The feature includes passionate words from Marine Molak, mother, advocate, and ParentsSOS co-founder, who has helped give a voice to parents who have lost children to cyberbullying and other online harms. It also includes personal perspectives from the bipartisan Senate team leading the fight, Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who told Engage, “Moms on a mission have always proven to be an unstoppable force.”

Nancy LeaMond sheds light on the pressing need for better support of family caregivers. Her feature highlights a slate of four bipartisan bills with sponsorship in both chambers of Congress to support struggling family caregivers. This optimistic and encouraging read is crucial for the more than 48 million family caregivers in America (six out of 10 being women) who are desperate to hear about practical, bipartisan ways our government can improve their lives.

We also recap the 2024 Engage Summit and celebrate the 2024 Engage Women Award winners. Plus, you’ll find unique perspectives from Jane Lauder, Executive Vice President of Enterprise Marketing and Chief Data Officer at Estée Lauder, who discusses women in leadership and how women at her company are helping to responsibly harness the power of AI.
